Pierre de Segonzac XO 40% abv.

This one looks like an exclusive U.S. release, in 2021, with only 420 bottles.

Floral and smooth.

I wonder how much of it is from 1974. Does anyone know the answer?

It's more their extra dan XO.

Their Extra is fantastic.
For this one, I think the “extra” part is probably a smaller portion of the bottle than a regular Extra bottle, since I didn’t pick up on several key tasting notes as described by the reviews. I am definitely interested in getting myself a bottle of their Extra cognac now that I’ve learned more about it.

Pierre Ferrand 1975 Grande Champagne, Cask Strength 41% abv.

I was expecting it to be just as complex as the 1972, but with perhaps hints of subtle nuances such as a different years of climate may imbue. It’s mystifying how this cask Strength is just 41% abv. While this bottle is three (3) years younger than that of the 1972 Cask Strength, the abv. is not higher, but on the contrary, it’s actually developed a lower abv. Perhaps it may appears that although even if Pierre had his hands in distillation, he probably had no part towards the later part of this cognac’s development.
