Today, I made my first serious attempt at a decent bottle of rum.
Foursquare Masters Series 3rd Edition.
Cask strength, 62% abv.
This is a fourteen year old from Barbados.
Nose: tropical fruits shoots out of the bottle the second that cork came off.
Palate: warm Christmas cake. Flavor profile similar to some Armagnacs. That 62% abv is manageable here. It’s more close to a 45-50 mouth feel.
