N°9: "On the eve of the Great War, Amédée Edouard Dor's son-in-law, aware of the uncertainties associated with his military commitment, made the decision to hide all the "dames-jeannes". Feeling that his life could change at any moment, and having no inheritance to pass down on to his descendants, he decided to hide them. It occurred to him to harvest the Grande Champagne and Fins Bois eaux-de-vie and blend them together."

N°10: Amédée Edouard Dor's son-in-law thought he would never return from the war. Fortunately for him and for Maison A.E. Dor, he returned to his land. Unfortunately, the Cognac vineyards had been completely destroyed by the multiple bombings. Surviving the war, he set about replanting his vines and was able to harvest his first grapes three years later. This Vieille Réserve is therefore the cognac of rebirth, the Phoenix rising from its ashes, marking the rebirth of the House of A.E. DOR"
