• Jouw laatste Cognac aankoop?

I have been looking at these Brillet Centenaire bottles at auctions as well. Would be very interested in a sample should you decide to open the bottle. I have tasted a regular version of the Reserve Limitee (40%). It was good but not amazing.

De reis verliep spoedig tot op de Boulevard Périphérique Parijs. Op 14 kilometer afstand circa 10 minuten rijden ontstaat er een file. Ach wat is nieuw. Wij zijn op 10 minuten rijden en het is pas 13:30. Rustig stapvoets verder rijden........

Dat viel tegen na een uur, niet veel opgeschoten, na twee uur nog niet veel meer en na drie uur wordt je wel zenuwachtig. Ga ik 17:00 überhaupt wel halen? Met het zweet op de rug stap ik uiteindelijk om 16:55 binnen. Wat was ik blij met mijn fles.
Nu nog een geschil moment om hem open te maken.

Zoals gevraagd ben ik nieuwsgierig naar jullie ervaringen met deze cognac of een andere cognac van dit cognac huis (dat helaas niet meer bestaat).

Ik heb nog een Reserve Limitee aan 42% staan Jur, plus een 'gewone' Brillet Petite Champagne Selection uit (ik denk) de jaren 80. Dus mocht je de geschikte gelegenheid vinden dan kunnen we die misschien mooi combineren!

Cognac Avery’s Lot #2006v (Esquin’s Private Selections)

According to Christie’s Auction House, these are believed to be from 1893. If that were true, then the ‘Esquin’s Selections’ would equate to the Avery’s own ‘Averys 1893 Cognac
Reserve de la Maison Bot.1960s’.

Could anyone verify that?

I have two bottles. One appears to be Bar-top capped cork, and the other one seems to be natural wine bottle cork. Anyone know about their significance? Thanks in advance.

I haven't the faintest idea and I doubt anyone knows. But those two different closures seem to me to have to indicate different years of bottling.

Sadly a lot of fake cognacs are around. Not this brand, I believe.
And Christies is pretty reliable of course.

Who could resist a 130 year old Brandy? Distilled right around the moment Mao Zhedong was born. The year Ivory Coast comes under French rule. And also the Chicago World Fair. I believe the eau de vie was left in the barrel for many years.

40% abv. Tropical fruits. Complex. Layered. Surprisingly that over one and a quarter century slumber and still did not lose its vibrancy.

Mooie aankoop Harry. Over het algemeen zijn de diverse cognacs van Bouron erg goed. Het zou mooi zijn al je je proefnotitie en hoe hij je bevalt met ons wil delen.
